DOCUMENTATION OF RESULTS

Why is documenting the results of so important?

  • The DMV (Division of Motor Vehicles) is the official authority and agency that grants the permission to drive through the issuance or suspension of a driver’s license and/or permit

  • Documentation of results is crucial to the entire process and delivery of driver rehabilitation services. At the very end of program participation, the client will need documentation to take to the DMV in order for the DMV to render a decision regarding the client’s driving status

  • The DMV may utilize the Final Recommendations from the Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist and the client’s physician to help determine the client’s ability or fitness to drive. The DMV Medical Advisory Board meets monthly to review these reports
