Practicing in the field of driver rehab for over 20 years, Sandra strives to bring awareness to the community about the field of driver rehab and the potential to drive with or without adaptive equipment. She volunteers at the state level as a CarFit Instructor and Coordinator and at the national level, Sandra was the previous Co-Chair of the Certification Committee and previously an Executive Committee member for The Association of Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED).  She provides services to people of various ages from teenage to twilight years. Please feel free to contact her for more information.

Driver Rehab Hawaii provides Professional Driver Assessment services.

We all want to be safe drivers as long as possible.  The best way to ensure we are safe is to get a professional driving assessment.  An assessment can recognize possible shortcomings, allowing a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist to develop a customized drivers’ training plan to provide maximum safety and independence while driving.

Consider getting a Professional Driver Assessment if:

  • You are concerned that your driving skills may have diminished over time.

  • You have concerns regarding results of informal self-assessments, such as the American Automobile Association's Drivers 65 Plus program.

  • You have been diagnosed with a medical condition known to impact driving ability (e.g., impaired vision, dementia, diabetes, seizures, sleep disorders, stroke, heart conditions).

  • You have experienced a recent increase in near misses or minor crashes.

  • Friends and/or family have suggested that you should drive less or not at all.
